Web-Based Truck Permitting Portal
Solution Example:
State of Massachusetts - EOTC
In
2004, the Massachusetts Highway Department was challenged
with their system for processing non-reducible trucking
permits.
Last year, the MHD processed approximately 38,000 permits
manually, which were paid by cash, escrow accounts,
or checks. This process was a slow, arduous, and labor-intensive
process, as well as fiscally unsound.
Identifying the need for an improved system, webCTel
introduced its SOPs+ system to the Executive Office
of Transportation and Construction for the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts. After extensive interviews with other
high-profile companies, WebCTel was selected to develop
and implement the Massachusetts Highway Department’s
web-based truck permit system called PermitMHD.
In
April 2005, WebCTel completed its first phase of its
SOPs+TM, which
has successfully transformed the process of delivering
non-reducible permits for the MHD

Solution
Example:
Corcoran Jennison Companies (CorJen)
CorJen
embarked on a very aggressive urban development project
in 2003 called "Crosstown."
What makes this project unique is that funding was derived
from a variety of sources including the State of Massachusetts
and Empowerment Zone funding. Along with this was a
variety of reporting requirements including: diversity,
hiring, tracking of apprentice positions, identification
of training candidates, wage tracking for a variety
of trades, and tracking of sub-contractor information
including contract awards.
CorJen implemented our CMS+ application that has resulted
in more efficient handling and reporting on all of the
required data and has also streamlined many of the business
processes necessary to support the project goals.
